Scientific
studies indicate that wild American ginseng
root contains 3 to 4 times as many ginsenosides
as Asian and cultivated ginseng. There are
more than 10 different groups of ginsenosides
in wild American ginseng not found in other
varieties. The Rg2 group of ginsenosides
is 4 to 5 times richer in wild American
Ginseng than cultivated ginseng. Wild American
ginseng root also contains an amount 3 to
4 times greater of Rb1 and Rc groups of
ginsenosides than cultivated ginseng. Other
nutritive elements in wild ginseng such
as ganoderma, strontium, manganese, and
zinc are also higher than in cultivated
ginseng. The older the wild ginseng is,
the higher the concentration levels of ginsenosides
and nutrients which are contained.
